CITRUS ROAD RUNNERS - The Citrus Summer Showdown 5K 2007


Race:	Key Walk A Mile in My Shoes Walk a mile in my shoes is a group participation event where teams of 10 or more sign up to support a Key Training Center client. The concept is that each team will wear shirts with the clients name on them and walk as a group with the client to show their support. Team sponsorship is $25 per member or $250 per team minimum. A team captain should be chosen to organize and coordinate each team. Team member will select a tee shirt color for their team and provide individual sizes for shirts by July 1. Shirts will be printed with the client name on them and distributed to the team captains prior to the event. The 1 mile walk will take place on the same Saturday that the Key Training Center "Run for the Money" runners will be arriving from their 180 mile journey from Tallahassee. The walk will start at 11am and participants are encouraged to stay and cheer on all Run for the Money runners as they cross the finish line. Hot dogs and refreshments will be available for all.
The Cause:	The Key Training Center is a private nonprofit Florida 501(c) (3) organization, is dedicated to serving adults who have developmental disabilities and the condition mental retardation. Since 1966, the Key Center has offered “Kindness, Love, Dignity, and Respect” to individuals and their families. They offer a myriad of programs and services to meet the social, vocational, residential/housing and advocacy needs of Citrus County and West Central Florida. Funds to support the Center are derived from Voluntary Health Agency Grants and assistance at the Federal, State and Local Government levels... together with private/public contributions from PEOPLE JUST LIKE YOU! Entry Fees:	Registration is $25/person (minimum $250 per team)
Notes:	Each team gets to choose a color for their tee shirt Shirts will have “TEAM CLIENT” name on them Deadline for Shirt orders and registration is July 1st. The following shirt colors are available: Light Blue, Dark Blue, Lime Green, Dark Green, Orange, Red, Pink, Yellow, White Finishers Medal provided to each Key Training Center Client. Special award to the largest team.
