CRR Training/Family Days Training Report: Rain Doesn't Dampen Runners' Enthusiasm
Although rain cut back on the original training schedule, the CRR Training/Family Days continued on four days, once a week, this past April and May. With regular participation by our "coach" Marty Boermeester, Karl Seidman, and Bob Wardwell, as well as Citrus HS Girls' track coach Tracy Beuttner, and several of her up and coming new runners, we toughed out a series of training routines. This is challenging and fun, especially for those who don't train on their own. We will probably try this again in the Fall. Hope to see more CRR members there next time.

Monthly Runners Choice If you care to host a social run or have a favorite place to run, contact Karl so we can put it in the newsletter and on the website. Summer running can be tough. Try something different. There are a number of interesting hiking trails in the public lands in and around Citrus County. If you care to join me on a hike or want to know about some of these places get in touch with me. Also good for trail runs if you're a diehard. Don't forget the bug spray! |
